Esta Fine produces plastic color/additive in three different forms:
- Dry Color/Additive
- Masterbatch
- Compounds
All three products above are applied internally as it involves blending into the plastic during the
production process giving even color/additive dispersion to the interior and exterior portion of
the finished product.Dry color/addtives are composed of several pigments/dyes/ additives that are blended. They
are supplied in powder form.Masterbatch is a concentrate in a carrier resin that gives color and/or enhances properties to a
plastic product. A masterbatch is usually blended with natural polymer in ratios ranging from
1% to 6% This is supplied in pellet form.Masterbatch allows convenient dust free addition from handling to blending during the
production process. It also improves consistency and dispersion compared to Dry Color
(blended powder pigments). Finally, masterbatch has increased shelf life due to higher
protection from humidity and temperature during storage.A compound (blend of colorant, additive, and natural resin) is compounded as a whole and
ready to use in its form. There is no need to blend with natural resin.- Okeanos
